ZIPPERS $20+
Zippers are the highest failure item in even the highest end equipment. They take a lot of abuse. And they break your heart when they don’t work properly anymore, or at all. They are also replaceable.
All zipper repairs have a $20.00 minimum cost for labor. There may be an additional cost for repairing/replacing fabrics at attachment points, old zipper removal/deconstruction or repairs on specialty materials. Take a good look at the stitches where it's attached. If the material itself is coming unraveled, you're talking extra work to repair it. It is a repair that will show, but that bag needed more character anyhow!
As always, quotes and assessments are free. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, if applicable.

SEAMS + STRAPS $10+
Torn seams and worn or separating straps are by far the second most common cause of premature death of great gear. Whether your backpack strap has been slung over your shoulder one too many times with a load of climbing gear, your dive belt has carried more lead then it should, or your waterproof fishing duffel is allowing your clean bloomers to get wet- before you’ve had a chance to put them on- chances are they can be repaired for many more years of trusty service.
General gear repair has a $10.00 minimum, with prices increasing depending on the trickiness of the repair and additional materials needed for patching/replacing. Snap some pictures of your woe-be-gone item and send it to me here, and I’ll let you know if there really is a need to launch it or if it can be resurrected for another dive, climb, op, hike or trip to the organic food store for some dried bilberry tea.
